CASE STUDY

Context: One of the challenges when doing academic research, is to find a way to explain concepts in a relevant and meaningful way to audiences outside of academia, such as HR specialists, corporate stakeholders or even general audience. Most often, this challenge is met in the Learning & Development realm as well, when trainers have to define a concept before deep-diving into the practical scenarios. I guess one way of wording this challenge is how do we make the conceptual easy to process?

Challenges: Most of the times, in academic settings, preparing the concepts and the data to be presented is resumed to charts and tables, or bullet lists detailing the definitions and the results. Presentations are done in Power-Point format, with little to none visuals or animations that are pleasant to the eye and enticing to the mind.

Solutions: The storyboard is made for an explainer video on the concept of feedback seeking behavior, which was used as a predictor in one of my statistical models. It gives clear visual structures to follow for each of the concept's dimmensions and structural components.

Results: By using this storyboard, any young researcher or even a young trainer can tackle a complex concept and defragment it into easy-to-process pieces of content
