Research Grant on Brain Talents© and Feedback Calibration Assets©
This research was supported by
Apps and Platforms: Visme, Flaticon, Articulate Rise, MurfAI
Time allocated: 200 hours, once all statistical interpretations were validated
My role: research, graphic design, development, statistical analysis (I shared the role with Alina Morosanu, PhD)
Client: These assets were developed as part of the reporting stage of the grant.
CASE STUDY
Context: This research grant was designed to explore the connection between the processing underlying Brain Talents and feedback seeking behaviours in Romanian organizational contexts.
Challenges: Researchers are frequently obligated to present statistical data in reports. The most typical approach is to display data visually as charts and offer spoken explanations of the relevance of the variables depicted. I aimed to improve the visual attractiveness of the data and the accessibility of its interpretations.
Solutions: I created the videos, gifs, and infographics in Visme and then embedded them in an Articulate Storyline RISE demo. The cinemagraph used as a cover page was created with Kapwing since it was the only tool that allowed for the combining of two GIFs while maintaining the high quality required for a cover page. The videos used in the final study design are in their third iteration, having gone through an intermediate assessment on timing and visual design. They were adjusted to the current format based on comments from other designers. Additional time was allotted to the video scripts and the text utilised throughout.
Results: I ended up with four RISE files in all, one for the study design (seen below) and three for each statistical model. This file is also published on the Six Seconds Case Study website, giving a more dynamic, eye-catching, and all-encompassing summary of the research study design. The remaining three files are available upon reasonable request from other researchers.
